Terms of Service

Effective: 7 August 2026  ·  These terms apply to the Nubbito Android application (ai.ryddhu.kids) and to this website.

The short version

Nubbito is a video app for young children. A parent sets it up and decides what their child can watch. The videos come from YouTube, not from us. Our safety filter checks every video before your child sees it, but no filter is perfect, and Nubbito does not replace your supervision. The app is free, we collect nothing about your child, and you can stop using it at any time by uninstalling it.

1. Who we are

Nubbito is made by Ryddhu AI, an independent software studio operated by Karthick Sairam in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Ryddhu AI. "You" means the adult who installs and configures the app.

2. What Nubbito is

Nubbito presents a filtered selection of YouTube videos to children. Before a video is shown, it is assessed by an on-device safety filter that examines the title, description, channel and thumbnail. A parent sets how strict that assessment is, may add their own blocked words, and may set daily watch limits. These controls are protected by a PIN.

Nubbito is not a general-purpose YouTube browser, and it is not YouTube Kids or any other Google product.

3. Who may use Nubbito

Nubbito is designed for children to use, but only an adult may install and configure it. By setting up the app you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of the child who will use it, or that you have that person's permission, and that you are at least 18 years old.

There are no accounts and no sign-in. Anyone with physical access to the device and the PIN can change the settings — so choose a PIN your child cannot guess, and treat it the way you would any other parental control.

4. The videos are YouTube's, not ours

Nubbito uses the YouTube API Services to retrieve video information, and plays videos through the embedded YouTube player. We do not host, own, produce or control any of the video content. It is provided by YouTube and by the creators who publish there.

Your use of that content is also governed by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Video playback sends your device's IP address to Google. YouTube may show advertisements during playback; those advertisements come from Google, we receive nothing from them, and our safety filter cannot screen them.

5. What the safety filter can and cannot do

This is the most important section on this page, so we have written it plainly.

What it does. Every video is scored against several layers before your child sees it: keyword matching across 15 Indian languages in native and romanised script, a behavioural-risk assessment, publisher reputation, and on-device analysis of the thumbnail image. Videos scoring below your chosen threshold are not shown.

What it cannot do. The filter reads what a video says about itself — its title, description, channel and thumbnail. It cannot watch the video. A video that is described innocently and turns unsuitable partway through can still reach your child. Advertisements are not screened at all. Newly published videos may be assessed on limited information.

So: Nubbito reduces risk. It does not eliminate it, and we do not promise that it does. It is a tool to support your supervision, not a substitute for it. If something unsuitable gets through, please tell us at support@ryddhu.com — reports are how the filter improves.

6. What we ask of you

Please do not:

  • use Nubbito for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of YouTube's terms;
  • attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile or modify the app, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it;
  • attempt to circumvent the parental controls on a device that is not yours to configure;
  • use the app to download, redistribute or republish video content.

7. Cost

Nubbito is free. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase, and no advertising of our own. If that ever changes, we will say so clearly in the app before it applies to you.

8. Your child's data

We collect nothing about your child. There are no accounts, no analytics and no advertising trackers. Watch history and settings are stored encrypted on the device and are never sent to us. Uninstalling the app deletes everything it stored. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

9. Our intellectual property

The Nubbito name, logo, app design, safety filter and catalogue selections are ours. These terms give you permission to use the app on your own devices for your own family. They do not transfer any ownership to you.

Video content, channel names and thumbnails belong to their respective creators and to YouTube.

10. No warranty

Nubbito is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranty that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the safety filter will catch everything. We depend on the YouTube API Services, which may change or become unavailable, and the app may stop working as a result.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ryddhu AI will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Nubbito.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any rights you have as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other applicable Indian law.

12. Stopping

You may stop using Nubbito at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or discontinue the app, or any part of it, if we can no longer provide it — for example if our access to the YouTube API Services ends. We will give notice where we reasonably can.

13. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that materially affects you, we will update the effective date above and show a notice in the app. Continuing to use Nubbito after that means you accept the revised terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu will have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
